Tell us about what you do and what your work is like?

We are Tru Designs Planners Private Ltd., a licensed architectural firm of licensed professionals trained in the art and science of building design who develop the concepts for structures and turn those concepts into images and plans. Our day to day work is both exciting and varied, and no two days are alike. On any given day, an architect may collaborate with colleagues and clients, sketch new ideas, and visit job sites. It makes it all a very creatively challenging and rewarding experience.

What have been some of your most prestigious works? Projects you enjoyed doing?

Diamond house for Mr P.P. Reddy, Mr Krishna Reddy’s Residence, KIMS Hospital and many more.

Tell us about your professional journey. How did you start?

My gig started around 2002 with 3 years of experience in 3 firms which gave me an initial idea as to how to run things and taught me what goes into building a firm. With that experience I started my own firm and traveled almost 15 years with no looking back. We have now done over 300 projects with end to end implementations. It has been a truly enriching and remarkable experience.

What is the best advice you have received that has impacted your life/work?

The best advice I ever received was over 18 years ago and it was something my wife said to me which was, “TO KEEP THINGS SIMPLE”. We implement the same on a daily basis, in both our personal and professional lives. This enhanced our firm & our relationships with our clients. We are considered reliable and trustworthy as we understand our customers’ mindset, their lifestyle, expectations and we ensure our deliverables are seamless and consistent irrespective of the scale of the project.

What would be one advice you want to share with our readers?

Respect, Value and Give back to the environment.

How important is it for you to integrate greenery in your projects?

Green Design Architecture is one of the most crucial and foremost aspects that we keep in mind while designing commercial or residential spaces. We encourage this type of architecture to be implemented in all our projects. This is one way to minimize the harmful effects of construction projects on human health and the environment. This is one way for us to GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY – A PURE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL OF US TO LIVE and BREATHE IN.

Do you consciously create green spaces in your projects?

Absolutely yes! It is an integral part of our core culture to provide a sustainable environment to all our clients.

What is your personal take on the impending environmental crisis?

It is unfortunate and one of the biggest problems of this age. In a country like India, this probably is something that does not get the attention it deserves. Though it is a rising concern we can take measures to minimize environmental pollution, stop using hazardous materials and chemicals and implement sustainable environmental practices to create better living spaces and opportunities.

Your contribution is so great, do you feel good about being able to contribute and make it a breathable world?

We have been doing our part for the last few years but our firm believes we have a lot more to do and strive every day to practice our principals and create as many green spaces as possible in every project we take up and implement. A good example is our office space which has ample greenery where we have created a sustainable environment for all our employees and the clients that visit us.

You should definitely come and check us out!

What initiatives do you think we as a community should take to make a greener world?

The list is endless but the following should be followed immediately and be our top priority-

1. Start using renewable energy wherever possible (eg. Wind and Solar power)

2. Reduce house energy usage

3. Eat locally – You can save lots of fossil fuel energy

4. Dispose with disposables

5. Plant seeds

6. Recycle

7. Save water

8. Drink from the tap

How did you know that this was the career for you?

I have always been passionate about creating something on my own. This drove me towards art and design. I love creating! Anything from “PEN TO PLANE”, everything stimulates my passion.
